<\/figure>\n\n\n\nPhoto taken by me during a photography workshop, probably in 2014.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I told myself that this could not be all and I started reading these two books in turns since I was feeling the same way for the other three elements but maybe inadequacy with water was more dominant. During that period, I was writing my first article about the \u2018Queen of Soul\u2019, Aretha Franklin (https:\/\/www.astro.com\/astrology\/aa_article250108_e.htm) which was first published in AA journal (thank you Victor Olliver\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb\ud83e\udebb) and I was deeply thinking what was more to explore about Franklin\u2019s Moon in Cancer and Mercury in Pisces. In the meantime, in Aug 2024 I read \u2018There are Rivers in the Sky\u2019 <\/em>by Elif Shafak and wrote a humble review about this book on Substack.* (There is a recent article by Alejo Lopez on AA journal on this book and its characters analysed in terms of astrological water. And it’s a great article – I highly recommend it if you know or read the book). So, deluge, Gilgamesh, hidden rivers\u2026All took me back again to \u2018Water & Fire\u2019 <\/em>by Darby Costello and the rest is history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have read and collected all these stories, myths from different parts of the world attached to different qualities of water which help me to enrich my vocabulary about Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, and to have a better perspective about the placements in these signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Having said all, in my last meeting with my mentor, she asked me \u2018Why water?\u2019 I had all these answers mentioned above but she told me \u2018Maybe look into your natal chart and explore your water placements in the light of this question!\u2019 I am still processing what insights my natal Venus in Scorpio in the 3rd house or my natal Moon in Pisces in the 8th house might be carrying for me with regards to this question but I know that I would like to be the storyteller of the \u2018water\u2019 myths I have been reading and the water traits I rediscovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe, if you have any, you also please start looking into your natal water placements and join me in this journey where we might see the \u2018power\u2019, \u2018perseverance\u2019, \u2018transformation\u2019, \u2018memory\u2019 and more qualities in one and only water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I will be writing these articles here on my website www.amethystastrotarot.com and share them on Substack as well.
