Cancer Season / Summer Solstice 2022

Again, I just felt using some keywords with different styles and these templates came out in Wombo art for Cancer season and Summer Solstice with the background support from Canva app.
What is Summer Solstice exactly?
“The summer solstice occurs in June in the Northern Hemisphere and marks midsummer: the ‘longest day’ and ‘shortest night’ of the year.
While most people consider the summer solstice to be a day, it is in reality an exact moment in time that falls upon that day. This moment comes when whichever hemisphere you’re in is most tilted towards the Sun.”

While it will be Summer Solstice at 10:14 UK time on 21/06, it will be the #wintersolstice in the Southern Hemisphere.
What about zodiac sign Cancer?
Quoting from one of my blogs:
“It is the 5th sign of the zodiac, its element is water and it is a cardinal sign ruled by the Moon.
Cancer Sun person may be nurturing, caring, intuitive but may be over-caring, anxious from time to time.
One point I found interesting in Roy Gillett’s book is that ‘when the Cancerian people feel threatened, they may “close up” or “lash out pre-emptively” like hiding away’ instead of confronting it head on – so acting like a crab going sideways.
This resonated as he mentions sometimes someone that is overprotective may attack to secure or to keep what they have. In this regard, it may seem that depending on the situation, a Cancerian may behave either way.
Also, taking into consideration the cardinal quality, we may say that there should be a level of initiation, taking the lead of things as well. (Yet again this is a general definition, it does not mean that every Cancer Sun may behave this way based on their placements in their natal chart.)”
The important thing to know about Cancer season is that where Cancer is in your natal charts as the Sun will be residing there until 22/07.
As Cancer is a cardinal sign, major aspects that transiting Sun will be making would be with other cardinal signs (Capricorn, Aries, Libra) including Cancer. However, I should mention that Sun transits might not be as impactful as an outer planet transit but should not be discarded at all as it might have a significance even it might be for a shorter term. Interestingly, I don’t have any natal planets in Cancer, Aries or in Capricorn. I have only Mars in Libra as a personal planet so I might expect some short term tension or conflict at a point triggered by the transiting Sun in Cancer.

Looking at the Solar chart fire for the start of Cancer season, the distribution in the sky is interesting. As the rising sign will be just Virgo, the chart ruler would be Mercury. Emphasis would be on the 8th and 9th houses while 5 planets will be in the signs that they originally rule. And even though the chart ruler is Mercury, we can’t ignore the impact of Mars that is the dispositor of the planets in the 8th house which will be ruled by Mars as well. A lot of cardinal and active energy that might be waiting for us at the beginning of the Cancer season with 5 planets being in their comfort zone.
