I think that the most people write these posts about eclipses coming up and all well in advance.
I prefer to write them as the time really approaches.
Is there a specific reason?
Well, I think I need to feel pressed with time to be able to think better and make a much thorough analysis.
Yes, the total Lunar Eclipse and Full moon in Taurus (16°) will be happening on 08/11 at 11:00 UK time. (Actually there is 1 minute in between)
Full Moons generally mean that we might be reaching the maximum after starting things in New moon. It might be considered as a period in which we might say ‘ok, these worked well for me since the beginning. However, there are some of the things that didn’t serve me so it is better that I let these things go so that I may have much smoother path.’ It might be a feeling like this…
When a Lunar eclipse does happen (in our case it is a total Lunar eclipse – in my individual case it was a total Lunar eclipse as well. I was born during Full moon in Pisces with total lunar eclipse), we might be more talking about important turning points in our lives. As we might release things, we may reach a culmination point or make a crucial decision as well.
However, we need to keep in mind that we have to take into account the interaction with our natal charts (in terms of triggering any natal aspects, patterns or touching any angles etc.)
We will have Moon in Taurus and Sun in Scorpio, opposing each other.
Without considering anything else, we do have this nourishing emotional realm not being in complete sync with the private, deep self-expression.
In a way, to find the middle way, this interaction might require us to express ourselves in a more open way, taking out what might be hidden and be less possessive and also maybe more active emotionally. So that, we may find a way to let things go that might be bothering us for a while and continue our ways more relieved.
However, it might be better to put the rest of the sky into this equation now.
What do we have more? Well, the sky is mostly placed in Taurus and Scorpio at the moment of Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse.
As the Moon will be conjunct Uranus (Rx) and NN (as it is an eclipse, the contact with the nodes is usual), Sun will be conjunct Mercury, SN and Venus (a bit wider orb).
In a way, emotionally we might want to break free and move forward, set up a new, unusual system that might be even shocking in some aspect.
While our sensitive and private identity will be hand in hand with our fixed ties to our past, ancestry and our deep way of communication and relationship along with intuitive ideas.
If we think that, both Scorpio and Taurus are fixed signs, to let go of things might not be the easiest act and most natural in this context. However, with their positions and interactions with the rest of the transit chart, to move forward leaving some of the things behind might be the best option to minimise the polarisation within the sky even though there might not be a promise of ‘pain free’…
As the nodes are within the equation, it is a period of making a decision about the life journey as well…Coming from the past, slowly getting out of the comfort zone to reach to a point that might not be easy for us but at the same time necessary for our progress in life.
And Saturn – Uranus square being there (like forever), might not make things easier as the same Saturn will be squaring the Moon and Sun forming a fixed T-square. Saturn will be the focal point in this T-square. Saturn being the charioteer in a T-square, nice! So, Saturn in Aquarius might cause an extra tension…On one hand it might try to set the order back again, on the other hand it may apply force with the limits in its archetypal symbolism.
So, push and pull effect being salted with Saturn…
I have to say that this total Lunar eclipse might be challenging for some of us with the impacts going on for some time (some will say 6 months, some a bit less…)
The question is that do you have any planets placed especially in Taurus and Scorpio (we might say even Leo and Aquarius thinking about Saturn) around 16°? In which houses? In what part of life you might see the impact?
Here comes the question of metonic cycle…19 years back, on 09/11 there was again a Full Moon and Total Lunar eclipse? Any memories around that time? Some area of life that got triggered making an impact in the early months of 2004?
Looking at the chart of 2003, there is a conflict/tension that is coming from Neptune in Aquarius with a wide orb. (In a transit chart, with nearly 6° orb, we might not call it a T-square…)There is a Venus-Mars square and Jupiter-Mars opposition. However, it seems much less challenging sky compared to this one. (Again, on individual terms it might have been different for each one of us).
Well, what I think that sometimes challenges make us tougher and help us act upon things in a more active way than we would normally do. So, in this regard, even though it may not be easy to let things go or take things out that are hidden deep inside, if this could be the way to look at a brighter future with a liberated soul, then let it be!
