Full Moon in Sagittarius – May 31 Interpretation
Full Moon in Sagittarius…
As I already covered the technical points (please have a look at my related post on Instagram – handle amethystastrotarot), now it is time for the interpretation part.
It is like since December 2024, when we first planted some seeds under the new moon, we have now arrived at the top of the mountain or at the top of this bell curve thinking about the past and at the same time future ahead. It is half way; while we might be reflecting on the first half of the journey, we may be making plans for the second half. When mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo. Sagittarius, Pisces) are concerned, moving forward, changing paths could be much easier since there is a lot of potential for being flexible, making necessary changes when things don’t work! The question is what did we realise so far? What supported us until now? What hindered us? What do we want to do at this point to make the rest of the journey much worthwhile?
Useful questions to answer…
Now, let’s think about the Moon in Sagittarius opposing the Sun in Gemini.
I will quote the following from my previous full moon texts:
“My humble view about opposition or polarity is always around finding the middle way, trying to create balance as much as we can. We can either continue holding on to our version of story at each end or find a solution to meet these both ends. I was born during Full Moon and believe me, it is easier to resolve things rather than letting them linger!”
I think that Moon in Sagittarius is about being in need of making a journey to find the truth, a journey sometimes without a particular plan although there could be a desire to reach a certain target. Our heart might be called to explore new horizons in an adventurous way, with a free spirit. We may be able to see the bigger picture as much as we feel liberated, without being under pressure. Otherwise, the quest may become quite boring and we might not want to be part of it anymore. So, when we started the related journey back in December 2024, what were our hopes about the future? How much achieved so far? I believe that where Sagittarius is in our charts, the related house could give us a clue about the area of life.
And Sun in Gemini? While our soul might be asking us to go ahead, explore, search for eternal wisdom whether it exists or not, our identity might be in a less philosophical, more rational mode maybe still searching for some answers but preferring new information to feed its hungry mind through connections, mental exchanges in social platforms.

I used to write dialogues between Sun and Moon in the past and here comes one I have written once upon a time in a full moon in Sagittarius:
““I need to have this philosophical or physical journey whatever it takes since my inner voice tells me so even though I don’t know where the path takes me. It feels like the need of going out into the wild and getting lost in the woods, not caring about what comes next. Are you serious? How come that you may just take off for something when you don’t know the end game. This is not logical, it doesn’t make sense! Also, it can sometimes feel lonely, not being in any contact with the people, not talking, not communicating!!!”
Although in this Full Moon, due to the decan rulers, Moon in Sagittarius might be quite in a talking mood! https://amethystastrotarot.substack.com/p/full-moon-in-sagittarius-and-the (In this link you may explore my approach about this lunation through the lenses of the decans)
There is a polarity in the sense that while our soul yearns for taking off, travelling ahead, going on a physical or philosophical journey, our outer voice yearns for exploring or learning at a more rational level even though there could be risks of getting lost while going down the rabbit hole. At the end of the day, one is about the satisfaction of our inner world, the other is about to cherish our outer world where we shine.
As I always say, the important thing is to pass the bridge, not to get stuck in the middle as in the story of two opposing goats, What about a bit of compromise on both ends ? Sounds good!

I believe that the biggest support comes through our act of re-building our personal boundaries, reclaiming our authority along with being inspired by our own dreams in a certain area of life. In a way, this way forward might be very much in harmony with the idea of going back to our factory settings in terms of stamping our individual signatures, maybe activating our own long lost ideals in this world.
Certain mindset changes we might be experiencing could have a warm and cold relationship with the full moon duo; this sudden but probably necessary change could be very much unified with what the core identity represents while may be opposing our soul search, not finding the cause of the journey quite logical!
We may need to accept the fact that however we would like to continue this journey, we cannot deny what kind of impact our tribe, our past or history may be carrying on the meaning we give to life, on the kind of growth we would like to have in our future. And sometimes what comes through the past might not be always enjoyable but it’s what it is, that’s what forms our current selves even though it might mean some strains, some friction to be overcome throughout the process.
We might find ourselves in a position to make some adjustments with the persistent warrior hidden in ourselves which could seem to be slowing us down but actually it could be refraining us from making fast decisions, putting our feet in a steady way on the ground since everything else around seems to be moving in a very speedy way including our thoughts.
The last point could be the relationship between our second half of the journey and our life journey in general. I would have very much loved to say that they are in great harmony but they might not be. There could be this push and pull effect around our soul, our self-expression, where we come from and where we head to. However, this is a very flowing, very adaptable energy so despite of its setbacks, there could be a potential of creating a productive energy out of it!
In this regard, we may need to make sure that we stand on a steady ground and consistency, sustainability are included in this way forward. This way it might be easier to find the middle way between our inner voice and identity letting us to collect the fruit of what we have planted back in December 2024.
Have a lovely Full Moon ahead

Teri
