Decan walk continues with Leo II

So good to be true!*

Even though the Sun still needs a bit of time to go through the second ten degrees of fixed, fire sign Leo, I decided to sit and start writing about Leo II.

This decan is really an interesting shift from the first decan, in which the decan rulers are Saturn and Sun, since in this decan we have Jupiter as the decan ruler both for Chaldean/Descending and Triplicity orders. That’s why my subtitle is ‘So good to be true!’

Why? Let’s see what I wrote about Saturn-Sun duo for the first decan.*

“Saturn, being the traditional ruler of Aquarius, is thought to be not in a very comfortable position in Leo. It might have the visiting team discomfort in a way. As if Saturn is saying “Before fun comes work, hard work little cub!” I believe that even we could be the most talented people when it comes to writing, speaking, drawing, architecture, wood carving, anything related to creativity, for being able to build some legacy, mark our genuine signature, we may need to work hard, face the reality, and have confidence that as the time passes, we will get there and enjoy the fruits of our creativity! But first some patience…While Saturn may be setting up some rules, Sun might continue to feed our confidence, telling us like a cheerleader ‘You are Leo, who can stop you, shine, get the recognition you deserve, it’s just around the corner, keep going!’ knowing that it’s at home, and we may need to listen to the voice of our hearts as much as we listen to the voice of authority which has definitely a lot of valid points when it comes to our creativity, our authentic power, fun, and generosity. And as Jupiter is in Leo and will be mostly in the first decan of Leo during Leo season (how many Leos in a sentence!:))), especially Saturn element in this decan could put some breaks into our great expansion, growth plans in this new journey and may help to bring us back to our senses.”

And then we have Jupiter arriving to the scene with all its grandeur, like telling us ‘I will make everything easy for you! Now you will start living the life you fought for or you worked hard to build with your nails bit by bit…’ Sounds like a ‘Hallelujah’ moment. Is it?

As Jupiter started its journey in Leo not very long ago, only at the end of June, I wrote about it and here is a quote from that article:

“In this new journey, maybe we are required to polish our creative energy more than ever. We might be called to be more confident in expressing our beliefs, our vision about the meaning of life and to whom we would really like to grow into. There could be a fun factor as well meaning that we might need to find ways to enjoy what we are doing. And being our authentic selves could be crucial, too. One thing we might need to pay attention to is to avoid any exaggeration if possible in the sense of not being too generous or too confident or too willing to be at the centre of everything. We may need to find ways of tempering it. It may be worth mentioning that since Leo is a fixed sign, there could be a promise of consistency, stability but also running the risk of not being able to change things even when it is necessary. So, if the journey needs a bit of change of direction, instead of resisting it, we may need to welcome it.”**

I personally have Jupiter in Leo in my natal chart but it’s in the first decan and in the 12th house. So, I am generally this ‘making a lot of effort to build something meaningful’ type.

Having said all, then let’s have a look at the minor arcana card associated with the second decan of Leo which is the 6 of Wands. So, the transition is from

“However, in this card, there seems to be nothing easy; there’s struggle, a lot at stake and to win we may need to make a lot of effort, find the right strategy to come out of this contest as the triumphant. It could be an also a way of ‘building confidence’ to get ready for the next stage and demonstrate all the skills up our sleeves. No easy gain!”*

Now, we have this view of a person mounted on a horse carrying the 6th wand in one hand while holding the reins with the other hand. Laurel wreath both on his head and on the wand. Crowned, glorious, the winner takes it all kind of air! Coming from the 5 of Wands, we may think that this triumph didn’t come in an easy way to us so let’s not get into the trap of ‘no need to work anymore, I will be the triumphant forever!’. As we know, we can go down much faster than we could imagine and we might not keep this status forever. So, let’s definitely enjoy this moment, make the most out of it. As mentioned in ‘the Tarot History, Symbolism, and Divination’ book by Robert M. Place “Now he is enjoying the pleasure of success and the admiration of his peers. This is the growth that the Anima Mundi desired for us.” However, we may eventually need to make sure that we never forget how hard it was to come to this point and maybe after the party, the things might get tough with Mars being the one and only decan ruler in the third and last decan of Leo. Tell me about it; first decan Jupiter in Leo and third decan Ascendant in Leo:))

Just a few days more until Leo II!

All the best,

Teri
