This is the 4th time that Mercury is having retrograde motion in a year time.
As I always say, it does happen often, we don’t really need to get worried, only prudency might always serve well in these times…
The pre-shadow period, which I call the trailers, had already started back on 12/12.
And Mercury has started stationing for retrograde motion on 29/12 at 09:31 UK time at 24°21′ Capricorn. The retrograde period will continue until 18/01/2023 (08°08′ Capricorn) and the post-shadow period will finally end on 07/02/2023.
Having written all this technical information, the question is ‘what might be expected during this Mercury retrograde period?’
Since we are talking about Mercury, and retrograde periods tend to be about reevaluation, we may say that we find ourselves rethinking, reanalysing, reorganising our ideas, the way we do communicate…
Since it is in Capricorn (ruled by Saturn), we may need to look into our long-term, strategic ideas, traditional way of communication with a different perspective…
We may need to understand how realistic these thoughts may be, and whether we may be too much old school the way that we talk, the way that we write…And also we may see whether all these are sustainable in long-term or not…
Mercury retrograde is giving us a lot of task, making us do a lot of processing and brainstorming…

Just as a small note, since we are talking about Mercury and Capricorn, in this period we’d rather be prudent and patient about new investment ideas / opportunities to be on the safe side…
