Neptune retrograde period (30/06-06/12/2023)
Good evening,
I am glad that, before last year’s Neptune retrograde period, I wrote an explanatory blog which I can use as the basis for this year’s blog. Lucky me!
On 30/06, at 22:07 UK time Neptune will be stationing for the retrograde period. It will stay with retrograde motion until 06/12/2023. (It does look like 2 days difference with the retrograde period of 2022 at both ends.)
The stationing will start at 27°41′ Pisces and will end at 24°53′ Pisces. (Being very aware of transiting Neptune’s contact with my natal chart, my eyes roll meaning ‘come ooon, again’! knowing that there is one round with the direct motion, too😊))
First, I will quote from last year’s blog as mentioned above and later I will have a short glance at the start chart of Neptune (stationing) retrograde.

“I feel like with the Outer Planets / Transpersonal planets, the retrograde periods are longer (It is good to note that, Saturn, which is a social planet, has a ‘one shot’ long retrograde period, too!) that they never get the same attention like the fast moving planets’ retrograde periods.
Although if we think that as they move slow, the transits of these planets are more impactful, why not enough attention for retrograde?
Especially, the transition from retrograde to direct or the other way around might make a lot of difference in the expression.
How do you know Neptune during the direct motion periods? It is known to be the planet of ideals, dreams, imagination, visual arts (like photography), the feeling of lost, being without borders, escapism, inspiration, intuition, addiction, retreat…I am sure we might add more to its expressions…
And what happens when the retrograde starts? Things flip…
How? We start questioning…Is it really like this or is it a product of our imagination? Do we really have to go around like a loose canon or should we put some borders? Do we need a reality check in this particular area of our lives? How much can we more hide, as if in isolation? Let’s end the retreat?
As Neptune is in Pisces at the moment and it will have retrograde motion in this sign and it is the co-ruler of Pisces, in any case we see very much integration between the planet and this sign.
And also Neptune in Pisces is more a generational expression since there is a long transit period in one sign. This generation might be the one ‘going after their dreams in a compassionate way’.
Maybe this period we might even ask is it real the right dream or are we giving more importance or idealising more than it deserves?”

It might be a period that the veil or the fog is lifted and as I always mention since it is a retrograde period we may have some following re- expressions:
- Re-assess dreams/borders
- Resist escapism
- Reality check
- Re-evaluate ideals
So, where is Pisces in your charts (depending on the house system) in the above-mentioned degrees? Which parts of your chart will Neptune visit during this period? These will show in which area of your life you may feel all the evaluation I have just indicated.
Regarding the major aspects, if you have any placements in mutable signs (Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius and Gemini), your life might be more under the impact of this Neptune expression.
Let’s now have a look at the chart.
Actually, Neptune seems to be in positive aspects with all the sky when it is stationing for retrograde period. A nice harmonious aspect with the Moon in Sagittarius which might mean that there may be a good harmony between our inspiration and need for seeking the truth, in a free-spirited way. Also, a quite tight sextile with Pluto (Rx) in Capricorn. Two outer planets might make a good team with some effort, our transformation and our dreams might be aligning with each other.
The Mercury-Sun conjunction (Cazimi will occur on 01/07 when there will be less than 17 minutes, in this case between Sun and Mercury) in Cancer is also another highlight in this chart. Saturn (Rx) in Pisces will trine this couple while Jupiter in Taurus will be sextiling them.
It might be the moment that we can demonstrate our emotional identity along with our nurturing ideas in a certain area of our lives. With a nice support from the planet of structure, authority (Saturn) and the planet of expansion, wisdom (Jupiter).
I think that I can say always more and more but I will wrap up here as I would like to write down a summary for the Turkish speaking friends as well.
