Good evening,
Tomorrow (05/10) at 01:09 UK time Mercury will start its journey in Libra.
Even though the Mercury moves fast, since there was a retrograde period, it had a long stay in Virgo.
Now, it will be time to move on to another sign which will be Libra in this case.
Mercury might be symbolising communication, ideas, dexterity, short distance travels, siblings, nearby environment such as the neighbourhood keeping in mind that it is the planet associated with Astrology in the traditional astrology and also it is the psychopomp, too.
It is worth noting the ‘swift’ quality of Mercury. Hands are also one of the body parts that are associated with Mercury. Sometimes, it won’t be surprising seeing people with Mercury being prominent charts using their hands as part of their expressions.
Libra might be related to the qualities such as fair, equal, harmonious, diplomatic, compromising as well as indecisive. As the symbol (the scales) of the sign suggests, it is also about justice. As The Venus is the ruler of this, we may need to keep in mind love, relationships, values as well. In mundane, the contractual relationships might be in place, too.
So, what can be said about Mercury in Libra?
It might be the time to find a better ground to express our ideas in a more diplomatic way especially if we tend to be too direct in our expressions. Diplomatic in the sense that making sure that the balance, the harmony are kept…
As Libra is a cardinal air sign, we may expect more ‘taking the lead, initiating’ in our way of communication and also the inclusion of our minds more than usual.
The dispositor of Mercury in Libra is Venus which is still in Leo though moving towards Virgo.
In this regard, at the beginning of this transit, we may also see the impact of creative values and relating to the others in a confident way playing role on our communication and ideas.
During this short journey of Mercury in Libra from 05/10 until 22/10, to understand the impact of this transit in our lives, it might be a good idea to see where Libra is in our charts, which house (area of life). For a more detailed interpretation, it is always good to see where Mercury is placed in our natal charts, how it interacts with the rest of the chart and which houses it does rule.
As Libra is a cardinal sign, if you have placements in cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), your life might be impacted more during this transit.
Looking briefly at the chart of the ingress, Mercury will be trine Uranus(Rx) and Pluto(Rx). That will be a dissociate grand trine even though before Mercury moved into Libra, being in Virgo we were talking about an earth grand trine.
Still, a grand trine might give this sense of grounding, steady harmonious energy in which a review of a structural change, reflecting on some realistic transformation and balanced thoughts will be working together in a nice way. (I always mention in the brackets if a planet is retrograde since I think that in the interpretation the reflection of this differentiation is important.)
Mercury in Libra will be opposing Neptune (Rx) in Pisces. We might think that we might need to find the middle way between our thoughts and between our dreams, the dreams that might be carrying more clarity than before as we might have had the chance to revise them…
Mercury will also be squaring the Moon in Gemini (quite wide orb). It might be the clash between the balanced mindset and the rational inner world…

I have mentioned that I may look into the Mars and South Node conjunction in Libra that will also happen on 05/10, around noon time.
I have Mars in Libra in my natal chart and I can say that it does work quite well for me, no feeling of detriment, all the energy is there for good causes😊))

So, what might happen when these two energies come together, hold hands?
It is again important to keep in mind that the Venus will be the dispositor/ruler in this conjunction meaning that how we relate and how we value things might be impactful on this unity.
It might be the case that we might be feeling that the way a relationship is or some values that exist in our lives may be providing us comfort (we have to keep in mind that there is North Node opposing this couple and the ruler of NN is Mars which is in Libra). However, if we would like to move forward in a certain direction where ‘we’ might be more important than the others, we may need to reconsider whether we have to spend our energy for keeping the comfort or not…
It is like where do we channel our drive? Where do we need to direct our will, courage?
I think that this might be a good question to ask ourselves depending on where Libra-Aries are placed in our charts around 25° (We may take Cancer and Capricorn into account, too).
