Venus retrograde is loading…
And half-way it will merge with Mercury retrograde! And they will come to the finish line more or less at the same time…
I stayed behind with writing but I believe that retrograde periods might be good times to pick up from where we left especially as in my case if they are happening right in the heart of third house which may represent the area of communication (oral or written) among other things.
Venus will station retrograde on Oct 3 (Scorpio 08°29′) and is going to be stationing direct only on Nov 14 (Libra 22°51’). Over 40 days period, covering 1/3 of each sign which means that the retrograde period will be happening in the first decan of Scorpio and the last decan of Libra.

It’s possible to say that retrograde periods in general may bless us with the opportunity to slow down, to give a break and to reflect on what has been done so far in the related area(s) of life. I said ‘bless’ because it’s true that in the quick rhythm of daily life, we just forget to stop for a moment, to breath in and to breath out, to see where we stand. And retrograde periods happily chime in and tell us to rest a bit!
And when it comes to Venus, we need to consider 8 year cycle and think about our eight years younger selves; maybe in a different place, living under different circumstances. To be exact, in terms of Venus retrograde in 2018, the data is as follows: Venus stationed retrograde on Oct 5 (Scorpio 10°50’) and stationed direct on Nov 16 (Libra 25°14’). If you ask me, I had decided to study astrology in a structured way in September that year after my 40th birthday. After checking my e-mails, I realised that I only started corresponding with schools after mid-November. Divine timing…
With Venus retrograde, we may re-evaluate our relationships, contemplate about what we really value, and we might reflect on creative, artistic side of things as well as the idea of peace, harmony we would like to have in our lives. People from our past suddenly getting into contact with us may be a probability as well. And it could be worth considering not to start something new in this period, and just focus on and perceive what we have in hand.
Now, let’s come to Venus in Libra and Venus in Scorpio. I think that if we understand what they might mean, we may have a better grasp of their retrograde period versions. Again, some data break in between:))) (I act like those annoying ads appearing just in the middle of the series when an important event is occurring). Venus was in Libra 22°51’ on Aug 31, 2026 around 3:23 pm (BST). So, we may need to more or less think back about the period between then and Oct 3 (Venus started its journey in Scorpio on Sep 10). Most probably different areas of life might be involved but it always depends on the house system used (not going into that, don’t panic, don’t worry!).
Quickly searching the archives and voila! Venus in Libra: “Venus could be about how we relate to people, what we value or how we value them or our relationship to art, beauty. Its transit in Libra may give a more diplomatic, mediator flavour when it comes to relationships in a certain area of our lives. We might sometimes need to make compromises in our values to let things continue. We may also find important details in a poem, on a painting, touching our minds and making us feel peaceful, grateful for the blessings around us.” *
Venus in Scorpio: “So, how do we know Venus in Scorpio? Venus is thought to be in detriment in Scorpio, not a very comfy place for the symbol of peace, harmony, aesthetics, beauty Venus…We might be interested in having very strong, stable, in depth connections for which we may be ready to get exposed to vulnerability. It could also be a good period to deep dive into our understanding of values in a certain area of life. If we are involved in any artistic activities, it could be the case that we may feel the need of being guided by our soul, our intuition, our power or where our memory leads us. This might be valid for relationships and values as well. It might be a good period to leave people or certain values that we might have held on for a while in terms of ‘cleaning the skeletons in the cupboard’. Now it might be the time to let them go even though it may be a challenging process for us.” **
So, Venus retrograde period might the time we may be asking ourselves ‘Did I maybe push a certain aspect in a relationship too much? Did I dive into the details I wasn’t supposed to? Would it have been better that if I didn’t take a lot of steps just because my intuition told me so? Or it could have been the other way around scenario like pushing more, cutting people off sooner than later, bringing out the things hidden for so long…More questions…Was it necessary to be so diplomatic or too compromising? Did I value myself less than necessary in a specific situation? Maybe I wasn’t just to myself when I criticised myself about that art I have created, beautiful words I have written or said? Maybe I shouldn’t have signed that contract… Or it could be the other way around again saying ‘To be a bit nicer wouldn’t have hurt! There was a more peaceful way of coming up with a solution? Or maybe I should have made that agreement, not waiting too much…’
These are just different ideas coming to my mind at this moment. There could be more or different versions.
As I mentioned the first decan of Scorpio and the last decan of Libra, I would like to introduce you to two interesting cards (actually four cards), the 5 of Cups and the 4 of Swords, associated with these decans from the Alchemical Tarot of Marseille and the Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery decks by Robert M. Place.

Please look at these cards and concentrate on them and see what kind of additional information they provide you with…
I love these versions and I will come back with them in the related decans.
I hope that some of you like myself can go back to some activities you stopped for a while during this retrograde period. As I said it will be quite interesting when Mercury stations retrograde on Oct 24!
Until then, all the best.

Venus, Mercury and Mars…

6 Aug

When I looked at my calendar, seeing Venus, Mercury and Mars changing signs, one after another, I decided to write a joint piece regarding these changes in the sky. Among these three personal planets, Mercury, swift Mercury is the fastest moving planet followed by Venus and Mars. It’s worth mentioning that in our natal charts, Mercury, Venus and Mars ca…

9 Sept

Tomorrow, Sep 10, seems to be a day of changes in the sky before the New Moon in Virgo on Sep 11.* How? Let me start with technical points so that we can understand the areas of life that might be impacted, which days we may need to pay attention to more etc. And from there for each change, I continue with the interpretation.
