Pluto – Part 2
Let’s continue from where we left last week on Pluto. If you did not get a chance to read Part 1, here is the link: https://amethystastrotarot.com/?p=624
Pluto completes an annual journey in 248 Earth days. This pretty slow motion causes the planet to complete its transition in one sign on average around 20 years, which means that when we look at the natal charts of people who were born e.g. between 1971 and 1984, it will be seen that all these people will have Pluto in Libra. In this regard, like the other slow moving planets Uranus and Neptune, Pluto’s transiting in a sign is called to have a ‘generational’ impact. That is why the house, the area of life which Pluto affects may be carrying a lot of importance in a natal chart.
Continuing with Pluto in Libra example, how does Pluto express itself in Libra? Or what are the common traits in 1971-84 generation? In simple terms, we may say that if there is a transformation or restoration to be realised, with this generation, it could have been only in a peaceful way or in a way that it will bring equality or beauty after the rebirth. This may mean that if things get destroyed, it is in the name of building something better or much fair. Only that, during a problem, even they may understand the two sides of the issue, they may have difficulty in making the final decision. Of course, this is a general definition.
I mentioned the ‘house’, the area of life makes the expression of Pluto more individual. Let us say Pluto is in Libra and is in the 2nd house in your natal chart, what does this mean? We may be expecting a transformation that brings peace either to our financial life, how we value things or how we value ourselves, our ‘self-esteem’. On the other hand, it may signify that because of Pluto’s other traits, some people with Pluto in the 2nd house may be obsessed with financial security or possessions that may make them feel more powerful. As a matter of fact, this is an isolated definition. In a natal chart, how Pluto interacts with other planets -aspects – also carries a lot of importance.

Coming to the Tarot card related with Pluto. It is the Judgement card. Number 20 – The Judgement card is interesting, it is depicted as the Judgement day, the Angel calling the death from their graves to rise. This card makes a lot of sense by being associated with Pluto since in astrology Pluto tells you to change or to transform things but if you resist, then it may destruct. This holds for the Judgement card in a reading as well (although the position and the context always carry a lot of importance) it may show the start of new things, like a business venture etc. BUT if the advice for change is not followed, you may be forced to alter the way that you do things, and this may be sometimes destructive.
So, Pluto may bring things and may take things away, but the truth is that every end carries to another beginning, a new chapter in our lives whether it is a voluntary ending or not.
I do not know what kind of an impact Pluto made on you, but I really find this planet very intriguing in every context.
