Chiron Part 2 – Its Place in Our Natal Charts

Those of you who read my blog last week, would already know about the ‘good hearted centaur’ Chiron. If you missed it, here is the link: https://amethystastrotarot.com/?p=672

This week I would like to explain the importance of Chiron in our natal charts with the help of an example.

As I mentioned last week, I will use the example of Chiron in Aries in the 7th house. A quick reminder, Chiron transits from a sign to another between 1.5 years to 9 years. In this regard, in most of the cases there may be a generational trait. That is why the house it is placed in our natal charts may carry a lot of importance. (I have mentioned in the previous blog, 1968-1977 generation, but I have to mention that Chiron is back in Aries since 2018 and will be there until 2027)

In this regard, I will first explain what Aries represents as a Zodiac sign in general and which area of our lives 7th house covers in our charts.
First, for the ones who are not familiar with Zodiac signs, let me give a brief definition with a piece that I have written in my Facebook page a while ago: “signs tell us ‘how’ the planets express themselves. In this regard, it can be said that when we talk about a planet, we will be using nouns. However, in case of signs adjectives that will be in use.

Aries:

The element that is associated with Aries is ‘fire’ and the ruling planet is Mars.
When we say Aries, what kind of personality are we talking about? They like initiating things. They may start a project but that does not mean that they may stay until the end of the project. Or they may get furious suddenly like fire energy, but they may calm down as fast as they fire up. They may also lack empathy. With the energy of Mars, they may be fearless as well. Aries can be defined passionate, motivated, courageous, optimistic, or impatient, impulsive, aggressive.

As a small note, in astrological terms, Sun sign will not be enough to describe the personality of a person since there are other planets, signs, houses and their interactions are involved in a natal chart.

Now, without getting lost in the details of natal chart, let me briefly explain the 7th house so that we can continue with our example: 7th house is generally noted as the house of relationships. Sometimes it is known as the house of marriage, but we may not be necessarily talking about a legal contract, it may be a romantically involved relationship or even a business partnership. As the 1st house is us, 7th house is others. It may be showing either how you may be relating to the other party as a partner or how you would like to be treated as a partner.

So, when we talk about Chiron in Aries in the 7th house, in a way we are asking the following question: ‘How does a character that may be wounded but tries to heal by learning and teaching find an expression in a sign that may be passionate but sometimes impulsive when it comes to the area of partnerships?’

Good question, but what is the answer? Let us first see what kind of a generation Chiron in Aries is. When Chiron is in Aries, in a way the wounds are tried to be healed in a fast way, like in a real wound we try to understand the severeness of the wound, we would clean it, then put some cream or oxygenated water and maybe cover it with a plaster as a normal procedure. Chiron in Aries is like as a general procedure but with being in Aries, it is ‘boom’ a lava effect, it will just say this wound will pass eventually no need for all this; just clean even it continues to bleed a bit, so what and continue your way, no need for dramas, life goes on…Just everyone is speaking about the Spanish flu in 1918, that was the period Chiron was transiting in Aries and World War 1, with a complete lost generation.

When all this intensive energy is there, what happens in the 7th house with Chiron? It may be the case that (as mentioned in Sasportas’s book of 12 Houses) you may be either in a relationship, in which the partner may be wounded, and you act as the healer or it may be the other way around. Or you may have been in a relationship that you may have been rejected, ignored, or left behind that you may have gone through a very painful period.

Chiron in Aries in 7th house may suggest that as someone may try to initiate a healing process faster than normal in case of an unhappy ending in a relationship or try to be the healer of a wounded partner in the most passionate or courageous way possible to make this process less painful or wants to be treated by the partner in this way. It may be good to keep in mind, Chiron in 7th house may mean observing a disharmonious partnership as well and in this regard from this experience we may see either a motivated way to get over the traces of this type of relationship or an aggressive approach chosen around relationships.

Please note this is just an isolated example without considering other planets and their angles with each other in the natal chart.

I hope that the meanings and the example made sense for you.
