Jupiter in Taurus (16/05/2023 – 26/05/2024)

Good afternoon,

Today (16/05) at 18:21 UK time Jupiter will be entering into the fixed, earth sign Taurus and will continue its journey in this sign until 26/05/2024.

During this period, there will be one retrograde period for Jupiter. Jupiter will station for retrograde motion on 04/09 (15°34’ Taurus – it is very interesting that this is nearly the same degree of Mercury retrograde post-shadow period ending degree in Taurus) and will station for direct motion on 31/12 (5°34’ Taurus). 117 days…

Having said all, what might Jupiter in Taurus mean for us at individual level and at mundane level?

First, let’s see what is about Jupiter…How do we know Jupiter?

In terms of astrology, Jupiter may symbolise growth, expansion, wisdom, faith, meaning, philosophy, long distance travels, journey in every sense as much as exaggeration, arrogance, over-expansion…It is worth noting that it may be also connected to launching, broadcasting, publishing as well.

What about Taurus?

Taking a quote from one of my blogs:

“Taurus is an earth sign with fixed modality, and the second in place among 12 zodiac signs. It is associated with throat and neck in terms of body parts. They might be sensual and grounded on the positive side while they might be really stubborn and also possessive on the negative side. It might be difficult to make them angry, but once it is out of leash, it might be challenging to stop ‘the bull’.”

Furthermore, Taurus might be associated with nourishing, stability, land, nature, agriculture, food and also financial markets, too.

Lot of grounds to cover to be able to explain Jupiter in Taurus.

I think that we might expect some kind of growth that may offer a sustainable path for us. We may start a real or a philosophical journey as a result of which we may feel nourished and grounded. We may find much more meaning in the values we hold on to. However, as a side effect of Jupiter we may need to avoid overwhelming ourselves and maybe others and as a side effect of Taurus, when it is not possible to keep, we may need to give up on being ‘stubborn’ not to be affected in a negative way.

In order to understand, which area of our lives might be affected by this transit, we need to see where Taurus is in our natal charts, which house (area of life.) As Taurus is a fixed sign, the natal placements in fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) will be impacted the most during this transit period.

What about the mundane level of Jupiter in Taurus?

We may see some growth in particular areas of food industry, maybe some launching of new products. Especially, when there will be Jupiter-Uranus conjunction on 21/04/2024 (21°49’ Taurus), we may hear about some innovative developments as well thanks to the involvement of Uranus.

I also think about the expansion of lands, borders since there is a sense of going beyond the borders for Jupiter and there is the idea of land with Taurus. And yet again, during the Uranus-Jupiter conjunction, we may hear some news, broadcasting of some kind of annexation.

Moreover, there might be some movement in the financial markets. However, we may need to be careful since the beginning of June Pluto will re-enter Capricorn, still retrograde and we might not be expecting a rise in the markets, instead even some level of crash before everything goes back to track. Later, it is possible that some level of improvement and stability can be contained.

And coming back to Uranus-Jupiter conjunction, Uranus is associated with astrology and this makes me think that as a conjunction may symbolise the start of a new cycle, there could be an increase in the number of the people who ‘believe’ in the persistent energy of astrology. We may also see that there might be more progressive approaches in astrology being expanded to larger groups and obtain a more grounded position more than before.

Looking at the ingress chart, the conjunction between Jupiter-North Node-Mercury (and also Descendant) gives a real positive energy about the stable steps for future improvements in our daily lives and all types of relationships supported by grounded ideas.

There is Jupiter-Pluto square which might mean a kind of conflict between growth and power. However, I believe that this tension may be turned into something fruitful at the end of the day with transformation.

I think that this is my brief intake about Jupiter in Taurus.

Soon, Mars will be moving into Leo and we will have a New Moon in Taurus before the Sun moves into Gemini. Busy busy week…
