New Moon in Virgo…

Here I am with the technical points as it turned into a tradition for me during the new moon and full moon periods.

Sep 11 at 04:26 UK time (BST) there will be a divine meeting in the sky when the Moon in Virgo (18°25’) will be in a union with the Sun in Virgo (18°25’). As I always say, this reminds me of Hieros Gamos since it is like a sacred unity between the luminaries.

In terms of lunar gestation cycle, the new seeds we might plant during this period might reach a culmination point or have a completion on Mar 11, 2028 since there will be a Full Moon in Virgo (20°59’) which is thought to be associated with this New Moon.

This New Moon may be mostly impacting people with natal placements between the middle degrees and the end of second ten degrees of mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces). Some astrologers might only consider Virgo (and Pisces).

Having said all, now let’s have a look at the #metoniccycle which will take us back to Sep 11, 2007. 19 years ago what ‘new’ was happening in our lives? A fresh page? (That time the degree of the new moon was 18°24’ although there was a partial solar eclipse as well.)

It is also worth mentioning that whether there is a direct contact with our natal placements or not, this New Moon will be happening in a certain area of our lives which raises the following question: Where is 18°25’ Virgo in our charts? The house it is located in might give us some clues about the area of life.

And if there is a direct contact with our natal placements, the impact might be higher!

I will not get into the details here but when we look at the elemental distribution, there seems to be a balance in terms of traditional planets; Mercury being the only traditional planet in an air sign (Libra). In terms of modality, there is the dominance of cardinal signs followed by mutable and fixed signs. We may call it balanced as well. It’s worth mentioning that both Mercury and Venus will be changing signs the day before this new moon.

So, what could all these mean?

I will try to be brief in the interpretation part but I will make an effort to explain everything.
